Wood combined with the traditional stapled construction is alos very popular because of the simplicity of the design. Solid Lime - the best choice At Sanita we prefer solid lime for the sole, mainly because lime is very easy to shape into an anatomically contoured footbed for the best possible fit and comfort - and it doesn't split. The slightly recessed cup matches the heel's profile and the raised wood arch supports the instep. The rounded toe follows the natural line of the foot. Because wood does not flex, the upwardly-inclined front section is very important because it supports the foot as it rolls forward - thereby providing a nice easy forefoot take-off. When combined with a well-fitting upper this sole construction gives the wearer a clog that easily follows the foot. |
